Refridgerated Air Dryer

REFRIGERATED AIR DRYERS

Compressed air can be contaminated with solids, liquids (moisture), and oil, which can cause failures of pneumatic valves, instruments, and other equipment. This can lead to downtime for the entire system.

Refrigerated Air Dryers remove moisture from compressed air to a level of 600 ppm (w) using an energy-efficient refrigeration system and effective heat exchangers.

Wet air enters the economizer (precooler) of the refrigerated air dryer, where it is cooled significantly by the outgoing cold air. The medium-temperature air then enters the evaporator, where it is cooled to 2°C by the cold refrigerant. At this temperature, the moisture in the air condenses into liquid and is removed by a high-efficiency integral moisture separator and automatic drain trap. All three components (precooler, evaporator, and moisture separator) are integrated into a single unit.
